 | | ABOUT MAXINE POVERING |  | Who is Maxine Povering? I am celebrating over 30 years in Real Estate, so I must be doing something right. My negotiating skills are amongst the best, and I am as likely to receive referrals from other real estate agents as I am from my own satisfied clients. I have been an Broker since 1981 which entails an extra special obligation for excellence and accountability to the public, and am also a Chairman's Club Award Winner for Outstanding Achievement at Harvey Kalles Real Estate Ltd. since 1996. I have an Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies and Geography from the University of Waterloo, and have used my background to pursue other related real estate areas of interest such as development, site planning, rezoning and hearings, and property tax reassessments, all of which have proved invaluable to both my past and present clients in their decision making processes. I am a long standing member of the Toronto Real Estate Board as well as a member of both the Ontario Real Estate Association and the Canadian Real Estate Association. I was one of the first realtors in the GTA to acquire my Accredited Buyer Representative designation or ABR, in the Toronto region, in order to better serve the needs of buyer clients, who by agency law are entitled to their own special representation, and more recently I acquired my ASA designation, or Accredited Senior Agent, which involves a full range of real estate related consulting to seniors with compassion and sensitivity to their needs at this new and different stage in their lives. My goal is to be the very best I can be by exceeding your expectations. I am compassionate as well as passionate about my chosen profession. Integrity, honesty, knowledge and possessing good listening skills have all played a major role in my longevity in the real estate industry. I always maintain a positive attitude and have been told that not only is my sense of humour refreshing, but that I have a special ability to make people feel at ease. I understand first and foremost, that real estate is a people business. I want my clients to have a good real estate experience, be it their first or second purchase or sale, and regardless of whether it will be a short or longer term committment to their future home. As your agent, through agency law, I work for you, with your best interests at heart. My approach is an old fashioned one, hands on, personal and without any pressure. I will endeavour to always be accessible to you. Rarely will you speak to a answering machine or service or to an assistant. I have a talent for finding you the right home and always have access to a number of homes on an "Exclusive Listing" basis if what you need or want is a home in high demand that is not listed on MLS or not even on the real estate radar. It is a compliment when other agents call me to ask if I know of someone who might be interested in selling a house or condominium that they have a serious client for, or if I have a client for a home that is not "officially" on the market, but is available to be shown to buyers on a selective basis.
